Grey Moon Studio Apartment

“Grey Moon” is a part of a series of apartments taking place at the very heart of the old city of Ramallah. The project, named “Ramallah Downtown Studios” is a multi-faceted renovation of an old house that dates back to the 1950’s. The renovation included restoring the structure and premise of the 1-story house (in collaboration with Ramallah Engineering Office), and adding a floor on top with 4 studios/apartments. Each apartment was individually designed to have its own identity. “Grey Moon” is a bachelor’s studio apartment that embodies a young vibrant atmosphere to allow the inhabitant to live with a high-quality standard.

Interesting Factors That Contribute to the Apartment’s Character:

• It has an abundance of natural light throughout the entire day, facing South-East.

• The backsplash was custom-designed by myself to create an energetic background while cooking and cleaning the kitchenette.

• The divider between the sleeping and living spaces stops only half way to minimize as much unnecessary physical separation between spaces as possible. A curtain is provided along the virtual line separating the areas to give the user the option of visual separation.
